About Roddy
More About Kilmany Gardeners Background
Roddy McIntosh was born in Turriff, Aberdeenshire and was educated on the west coast of Scotland. From an early age he was encouraged to work in the garden to make some pocket money.
This led to an interest in ‘all things gardening.’ Some years later, Roddy attended The Scottish Agricultural College at Auchencruve and in 1999, graduated with a Diploma in Horticulture and an HND in Landscape Management. He worked for several landscape companies in Glasgow and then Fife.
Kilmany Horticultural Services was established in 2002.
Roddy began renting a yard near the village of Kilmany. He now has his own bespoke, themed garden, (which to this day is the hub of his business), ‘recycled’ and ‘grown’ from unwanted/leftover materials…… and a lot of hard work!
